I&#039;ve actually found that having more content can help click-throughs, since it offers something for everything. However, if we&#039;re talking about a very lengthy text only newsletter, I would recommend shortening it or breaking it up into sections.

The email checklist is a great idea, I&#039;ll consider that for a future post!

I constantly get emails from GoDaddy.com with offers at inconsistent time intervals. I&#039;ve been really tempted to unsubscribe as I find it really annoying and alot of the time totally untargeted.

I am wondering if you have found that shorter emails work best? Reason I ask is that where I work we send out a rather lenghty Email Newsletter which seems popular but I wonder if we shortened it, if we would get a better response rate.

*I think another good point to add to your article is create a checklist before you send emails, so you ensure you don&#039;t make any silly mistakes like broken links, not providing an online version etc...</description>
